Skype for the iPhone - almost

The announcement that all Skype fans have been waiting for - http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/30/technology/internet/30skype.html - a Skype application for the iPhone.

I would have thought the ridiculous rate that AT&T charges for a data plan would be enough, but no, they want to sell you talk time by the minute as well. You are only able to use the Skype app when you are connected to a WiFi connection.

Sure, this is good, but I really wish AT&T would be content to sell the data plan and become a dumb pipe to the internet.

    If you followed my Twitter account you would know that Skype works over 3G when running the latest iPhone OS (3.0, currently in beta). =P
