BIT 316

I start this class tonight.

Walsh College's Course Descriptions

BIT 316 - BIT Compliance - 3 Hours
Prerequisites: BIT 331 and BIT 337

This course examines the various established and emerging
standards, specifications, regulations, and laws impacting
corporate information technology. A framework for evaluating
the scope and magnitude of the impact across the enterprise
and its technological and information infrastructure will be
developed, and strategies for compliance with such standards,
specifications, regulations, and laws will be explored. Students
will apply the framework and strategies to real and simulated
business situations. Techniques for assessing compliance and
integrating compliance initiatives into IT strategy, project, and
financial planning will also be studied and applied.
