BIT 472 - Information Security Safeguards

I start this online class tonight with Professor D. Stuart McCubbrey. This class is the last class for my Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology specialized in Information Assurance.

Course Description: BIT 472 - Information Security Safeguards - 3 Credits

This session provides an in-depth review of the basic security
safeguards used by corporations today. Technology that will
be examined includes virus controls, firewalls, intrusion
detection systems, VPN, public key infrastructures, and
assessment tools. The goal of the class is to thoroughly
immerse the student in the technology that is used to protect
data and voice systems.
